This thread is for Kerry GAA fans to discuss anything they wish. County teams, senior football, novice championship, the hurlers whatever.
All GAA posters are welcome to contribute whatever their alliegance.
Whats the story with Donaghy? Is it season ending?
Can the hurlers win the Christy Ring this year and should they at least be fielding a team in the munster championship?
Who will be county champions in 2008?
Can Churchill continue there 100% record and get promoted from Division 5?

Id like to see Kerry in the Munster Hurling Championship, they are only one AI behind Waterford.

I didn't know he was injured! What happened?

With all due respect to Kerry hurlers there's little point in them playing in the Munster championship at the moment. The likes of Cork and Tipp would hammer them out the gate. No use to anyone.

The Christy Ring and Nicky Rackard competitions were introduced to give teams a viable All-Ireland competition to play in, at an appropriate level. If Kerry can improve and win the Ring Cup then they'll get their shot at the Liam McCarthy competition and could then have a crack at Munster aswell. But right now a 20 point trouncing from Cork/Tipp/Waterford would serve no purpose.

Agree with above. If kerry can win christy ring, and not get hammered in div 2 of league next year that would be a sign of good progress to me. Munster championship will have to be a long term plan

There are plenty of good hurlers in Kerry!

It is hard for them to motivate themselves to train hard all year round to take on the likes of Meath and Wicklow.

Even if they get beaten by 20 points every year the players deserve a chance to take on the Corks and Tipps.

Ask a Kerry corner back if we would like the chance to play Christy Ring or to mark Joe Deane and I'm sure he would like the latter.

Apparently underage hurling in Dingle in now also meant to be very strong. Great to hear the game is spreading its wings

On the football front I read that the Kerry team had an internal challenge game between the 'blue team' and the 'gold team' Both teams had a mixture of the regular 15. Galvin picked up an injury but it is not thought to be serious.
