    I had an opportunity to snap a band yesterday and here are some drum shots. Please criticise as it is a totally new area for me.

    None of them do much for me but I'd say the second one is the best of the three

    The first one is just like a portrait for a quick snap for a mate, the second is ruined by the position of the mic stand, the third one needs more indication of movement i think.

    In my opinion.

    Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't too happy with them and I would like some advice for the next time I get a chance.

    That ain't no drum!

    One suggestion already touched on would be a longer exposure to get more movement into the shot.

    and wider crop to get full instrument, and trumpet shots IMO are nicer front on and trumpet lateral, not vertical
