I was using windows for years. Used a mac for the first time in march. I bough a macbook pro a week after that and haven't looked back. You will get used to it in no time, a few days or so. You should have no problems with usb devices etc.

Exactly :D I honestly would not consider buying another windows machine. My old and trusty sony vaio has been gathering dust for a while now.

USB webcams rarely work out of the box, but most Apple gear comes with a built in iSight now. There's also a driver that supports loads of them: http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/

Still in the process of switching over ... I think it'd take you about a day to get used to the everyday stuff ... some things will take a little while longer ... if you're unsure just ask .. as it can save you a bit of time.

Its taking me a small while longer as I'm getting set up with dev tools and graphics tools on it ... also using a MBP as a desktop replacement so there is the added strangeness of using a MBP keyboard full time. I've a mightymouse and prefer the touchpad on the MBP

Unless you're buying a Mac Mini or a Mac Pro then all other Macs have built in iSight cameras already.
