Advice on Neighbours trees

Ok, I have a very un-reasonable neighbour who refuses to cut the trees in her front garden. We have a sideway between the two houses. The block I am on is back about 10ft from her house (if you understand). The trees go all way from to the top of the garden and they are 25ft high, almost the height of the houses. The trees are also growing over the small which divides the gardens. We have asked before and she has refused and has started to pull some branches into her garden. If you walk up to street you have to be outside my driveway before you see the house

I know that I can cut any tree over my boundary, which I did before only for her to come flying out shouting and threaten legal action and all sorts. I continued to cut and placed the trees back in her garden only for to throw them back in.

The height of these trees is blocking all the sun light in the evening on the front of house and I have to turn the lights earlier. It’s getting to the point where I am just tempted to go out and chop the whole thing down and let her do what she wants.

I need some advice as to where I stand if you can fellow boarders :)

See the thing is that you can't get legal advice on this forum. I'd go and see a solicitor myself.
