I'm sure you'll find the right course for your carefully planned out career path.

    Galway.

Had a year down there and I can safely say it's the best town in Ireland for so many reasons.

It felt like I was in a version of the San Francisco acid scene or something.

I hear Galway has a fairly good nightlife, real university city, though where ever you go your gonna love it.

NUI Maynooth! Galway is class aswell, two most laid back colleges in all the land!

Galway is messed up... Gives NUI a bad name. You'll find a good party scene whatever your college once you bother your ass to make the effort. As for hot girls well once the party gets going most girls are hot :P

You'll have fun anywhere you go, so don't pick your college based on this.

The inequities of free 3rd level education... but ye, nuig is ridiculous for the messing about.

maynooth, I'm from maynooth, and every weekend all there is is gaff parties, gaff parties and more gaff parties .. and they're all college students!!
now because I'm a girl I can't personally tell you what the girls are like, but my lad mates do tend to drool a lot when they see some of the girls!

So yea go to maynooth, you can get a good college education while spending most of your days absolutely locked!!!

    (I sound liike a TV ad! :D)

Plugging for Carlow IT, has a 4:3 ratio of girls to guys so ya can't go wrong. also the other college in carlow has 80% girls. Night life is deadly.

    After that, i'd suggest Galway

Carlow IT used to have the largest drop-out rate of 1st years, due to the great night life in Carlow, even though it's probably the only one with no pub near the IT itself.

nuig sounds like the best nightlife.ul's a great university, but the "craic" is one overly used phrase-it's mainly boggers going "wild" watching other people get drunk and maybe, just maybe they'll whip out a few irish dancing moves in the club. plenty of drunk townies who pick fights with u on the bus after hurling abuse at u. i know from experience. ucc sounds perfect 4u.all u want is partyin and hot girls so im assuming you'll get either business in cit and fail that or else be repeating.

    good luck

    Quoted for comic value:)

Go trinners, you have all the night clubs in town and tourists from 'italia and france' with hotel rooms, don't tie yourself down to culchy land ;)
Off course i'm setting you as all you want to do is party then you will not get into trinners. ;)

In fairness, it's college: you will enjoy yourself and swear that your college is the best no matter where you go. I'm just finished at UL and I've had the time of my life. I'm sure someone who's just finished at NUIG/UCC/CIT/WIT etc etc would say exactly the same. It's a cliché but, folks, you're about to embark on the best three/four (+1 for UL and 4 year degrees!! :pac:) years of your lives!

i doubt it was front runner, but stay the hell away from ballyfermot college, it was built on a ancient indian burial ground, and the tribe hated parties so there never are any

Nobody's mentioned Letterkenny!! I have a few friends in the college & they all love it. Theres a sh!t load of night clubs between Port Road & Main Street and must be around 20 odd pubs as well. It used to go on all night but the guards have cracked down on it recently. Still a great place for partying though...great memories :D
