What size tip do you use? I used to use a 6mm tip but a (ex) friend of mine broke my cue, and I haven't been able to get my hands on one since. Does anybody know where I could find somewhere that does them? I just find the control you get off it is second to none.

Do you play snooker or pool? No doubt it is excellent for getting action on the ball but for potting accuracy, it would only really be any good for use on a pool table or smaller snooker table. Its too easy to put a trace of side on the ball with that size tip when used on full size table. Hence the reason you rarely see pro snooker players using them and also the reasons why cues with that size tip are rare. No idea where you could get one.

Thanks mickdw, I played international pool a couple of years ago. Thinking of getting back into it, I gave it up to concentrate on getting a trade if it all doesn't work out. A small tip like the 6mm one I had was fantastic for pool. I just can't seem to get the same reaction out of normal tip that I'm looking for. Maybe I've just lost it altogether. Ha

when i used to play i used an 8mm tip it was perfect but all you have to do is get a normal 10mm tip glue it on leave a day and then foil/sand it down to shape and size

I need the cue to taper into a 6mm tip, otherwise it's not the same! Thanks all the same redzerdrog

You must play to a high standard so. Im a snooker man myself. I use 9mm as I find it best comprimise between control and accuracy. The 9mm tip is hard to get the reaction with when playing on club tables but on a proffessional cloth ( Snooker table ), its perfect. They are much quicker.
Try john parris cues for your 6mm cue.
