Looking for one of these as a bit of a summer project guys, condition must be quite reasonable with a view to putting it back on the road.

I don't particularly want to break the bank for the car but try me with W.H.Y.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

They're is a few Starlet's of that era on Carzone at the moment, many are Jap imports, and they're not cheap either as they are a now used for drifting (whoever would have thought?). As for a Charmant, they are as rare as hen's teeth, haven't seen one of those in ages, same with the KE70 Corolla's.

I know the scale of the task alright mate! Just hoping something might cop up somewhere you know yourself! Just looking for a nice example of the above cars to fix up if anything needs doing, lower and slap a set of nice wheels on and turn a few heads over the summer.

The kp starlets are making big money these days, even rough ones.As for charmants, there was one on a ZX plate for sale in castleisland last year for 900eu,dont know where it went after that though. They are RWD arent they?

The 2nd gen (last) Daihatsu Charmant shares the same chassis (more or less) as the E70 Corolla so yes it is RWD.

That's a red one, isn't it? I saw that car recently, I think it was at the Rally of the Lakes in May. I remember that car knocking around since the 80's driven by the same lady, but there were two boy racer-types in it when I saw it last. It was looking well, with little mods done to it.

If that's slightly faded a red one with a zx reg then im fairly sure that's the one that a guy i know has. It's a nice little bus and he's been doin a bit of work on it to get it in better shape. Likes doin rings and goin to drifting/ diffin track days but i wouldnt be callin him a boy racer really. Distinctly lacks the asshole-ish driving style when in public roads.
