    Seeing as I love rumour and fantasising over gear pr0n.

    Just spotted over on FM that this Book here is being offered for sale on Amazon.com from November 10th this year...Photokina coming up in September too....

    The author has plenty of other field guides too.

    threadjack - do you think this means that prices on second hand 5Ds will drop by the end of this year?
    because i am ridiculously frustrated with the viewfinder on the 350D and am contemplating going full frame.

    well canon are pretty slow at getting the mk 1 into a lot of places at the moment. I'd say best buy time would be just after the mk 2 comes out. I've the mk1 on order and have sold my old gear so cant really wait myself. Canon are giving 200 cashback on it at the moment. I know i'll want it as soon as it comes out though being a wanty kind of dude. Price will be pretty steep though i'd say

    Well, now's not at all bad. The existing model is pretty damn cheap at the moment, and there's a big wedge of cash back if you buy in Europe. Try Kerso, though his EBay shop isn't listing anything at the time of writing, but drop him an email as it'll work out cheaper anyway

    Ordered mine through calumet thanks to Covey's recommendation as computeruniverse is out of stock and it's ending up even cheaper and I'll have it by friday.
