O2 iPhone data issues

    anyone else have a data blackout?

    It has been down for me all day today, all over dublin. Data support say everything is normal....but i don't buy it.

    Do you have another phone handy you can pop the SIM into and test if the data is working? Are any of your mates who live nearby on O2 having the same problems?

    You say "all over dublin" - how much of Dublin have you actually been in today?

    Edge working fine for me on a Nokia e51 using the Open.Internet APN in Dublin 15 at the moment.

    Give data support another call and see if they can help you diagnose your problem.

    just ring customer care they'll reset your number on the HLR and it'll work straight away

    I just rang 1909 there & there is an automated message to say that there is a data network issue. It's being worked on.

    thanks guys...........ditto to rebel.ranter......just rang again as hasn't been working all day and heard the pre-recorded message!

    Yesterday i was all over the place.....dublin west, city centre, north co. Dublin, southside too....Today i've been D.15 exclusively and still nothing.

    pain in the neck....ah well

    If it's a data issue chances are it's a network issue and not an issue with a cell, so it'll be the same all over the country. O2 generally are fairly fast at fixing these issues.

    I had no data coverage yesterday afternoon/ evening and some of today - wasn't getting email through on my Nokia E50. Oh and my O2 email was down yesterday as well.

    Not sure if it's ok now but my O2 broadband is working and the email has come back online

    All back up and running now. I'd say if it isn't working for you still. Restart your phone or device.
