Eurovision Epic Fail

    Ok I Can't do those clever posters, but have spent the last few hours in the pub watching the Eurovision Rugby Final and watched the performances of Messers O'Connell, Quinlan etc then we switch to the voting of the EWurovision Song Contest and I am predicting the 12 point winners without hearing the songs. So I reckon the only way we are going to win the Eurovision is to invade half of Europe and repress them for 50 years so they will be afraid to vote for anyone else. Time to scrap this farce or do as the Italian's did and withdraw from the competition altogether, maybe as 5 times winners the rest of Europe might take notice why we doing this.

    Wogan hinted at that tonight and as predicted the scandinavian countries, Norway ,Iceland , Denmark Sweden as well as the eastern block countries gave each other top votes as in, vote for the country , not the song .

    I think a breakaway or alternitive song contest involving the original european countries is what's needed .

    At least the sly voting was a bit more respectable back then :D

    The problem isn’t with “block” or geographical voting pacts – it’s the “guest worker” vote that’s ruining Eurovision – look at Ireland – 10 & 12 to Latvia and Poland.

    Besides, the geographical knowledge of Terry Wogan and Marty Whelan is way out of date, they don’t even know which countries are neighbours with which, Terry even made a reference to Aremenia voting for the other “Balkan” states ffs

    To win this thing again we need to mobilise the diaspora

    Out of interest,what do ye think was the best song there.As in,if it was down to the judges,who'd have won.TBH Russia would have been high up either way.Possibly Norway would have won

    I liked Norway the song and phone -voted for it to .

    Also Greece Germany Poland Israel and Turkey Ukraine were also very good and far better than russias entry imo .
