Sky EPG-Very bad lately.

    Does anyone else think that the Sky EPG has been a bit weird lately? Like the time usually goes back by about 6 or 7 minutes and the remiders are sometimes 4 or 5 minutes late. And often it will not show what is the next programme on stating that "Further information is not available".

    There have been a few bug fixes added lately (certainly to the Sky HD software), but there is a new HD EPG on the way in July / August for HD, and more updates to the SD EPG.

    All these problems are connected to this, I'm sure.

    My main problem is with the HD hardware - those Thomson boxes - the biggest heap of sh**e ever made. The sooner other maunufacturers come in to make Sky HD boxes the better - Pace for one. :(

    Have you been watching E4 or More 4? There is a problem documented on this forum with slow time on these C4 stations causing the Sky box to crash.
    The time on these stations is 7-9 mins slow for some reason causing now, next and listings and EPG to stop working.

    Yes I have, and the problems you mentioned caused me to lose recordings to the dreaded "technical problem".

    The EPG's for both HD and SD are being upgraded as I said, and these problems are related I'm sure.

    My opinion on the Thomson boxes still stand :D

    my pace SD box has no listings in it whatsoever this evening. all the channels work fine, and when you change channel it tells you what's on. However, underneath the programme not playing it just says "further schedule details not available", and when i go into the tv guide every channel is searching for listings.. bizarre..

    I had the exact same problem last night.
    Plugged receiver out and back in and it was ok.
