Weeds, Penn & Teller, and Mad Men are the only things I'll be watching. No start date for MM season 2 yet, but I'm sure it'll be in July sometime.

Still 4 eps of Battlestar Galactica left too, remember.

Damn FX for postponing the final season of The Shield!

    I'll be watching:

    - Burn Notice (season 1 was excellent)
    - The Mole (a truly good reality TV show - believe it or not)
    - Stargate Atlantis
    - Big Brother USA (the only good version of BB)
    - Eureka (Season 2 was a definite improvement on Season 1)
    - 30 Days (Morgan Spurlock, the Supersize Me guy, does other things for 30 days - very entertaining)

Ones I'll be looking out for:

Generation Kill (HBO) is a mini series made by the same guys that made The Wire (trailer)

Flashpoint (a canadian series co-produced by CBS, I've heard good things about it)

And don't forget that June/July is pilot season, so you'll start seeing pilot episodes for the new autumn shows appearing in the wild...

Actually, I agree. I never really watched the English version, although I saw the celebrity hijack and I enjoyed it, but I did watch the American version this year and I liked it. I like that they actually have to strategise to win and they put a lot of effort into the challenges.

After the Olympics. September-ish. It was supposed to start in March, originally.

Weeds is the only thing on that list I would watch.

And then of course there is Generation Kill which is worth a watch for the fact that is made by the creators of the Wire.

The Andromeda Strain should be good. One of those 2 part mini-series things. Couple of big names in it - Jin from Lost, Jordan from Scrubs, Mike from 24 and a couple of others I recognise, but wouldn't know who they are (probably big names from shows I don't watch).

The Andromeda Strain should be good.

I thought it would be too and it did start out quite well. It got quite stupid though and ended rather ridiculously. I wasn't very impressed tbh.

No 'Rescue Me' this Summer either! :(
In an interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show on Thursday, May 15th, 2008, Leary revealed season 5 had been delayed until March 2009 thanks to the writer's strike, but that all 22 episodes would air on consecutive weeks. Leary also said there would be a number of "mini-sodes" airing in June and July to bridge the fourth and fifth seasons.
Last season wasn't great but it's my regular Summer viewing thrown askew!

Caught this whilst on holidays in the US in June and it is excellent, one of the best reality TV shows I have seen in ages.

If anyone else is watching it, who do you think is the Mole?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,572 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

    I think its
    Mark
    .

    Reason?
The good acting when he lost his journal threw people off the scent. Plus some of the others are trying too hard to make people think that they are the mole.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,828 ✭✭✭robo

I think that it could be
    Alex
    Why?
Cos of his subtle approach to stand back and be passive, he is not being suspected.

I wish when the quiz is tied that they would tell us who tied.
I haven't seen it all and would be interested to know is it easy to work out who is the Mole if by listening to who each of them think it is each and cos when someone has a big hunch on who it is, they answer the questions around them, so you could possibly rule out the person they think when they are executed.

DId you watch the previous series? Were they any good if you did?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,572 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

One other reason I think its
    Mark
is the way he overreacts when he passes the quiz.

Anyway, yeah I've seen the other 4 USA series, plus 2 or 3 Aussie Moles (what can I say, I'm a fan :))

Its always very hard to pick out who it is (its never 100% obvious). In some series, they have clues built into some scenes. I remember one series where they had something like the numbers "1315125" flashing on the credit sequence at the start while they were showing the contestants (13=M, 15=O, 12=L, 5=E).

There are supposed to be clues (subtle, almost subliminal) pointing out who the mole is. I don't know if they went to that amount of effort in this series (I haven't spotted anything anyway).

i watched to the fifth episode last night of the mole i really like it..
i think the mole is either
    craig or alex

    reasons:
firstly i was leaning really towards alex because he's just so in the background and the two apples thing was a bit suspect aswell, i didn't think craig at all until the exemption thing where the first person to say exemption got one and he managed to just randomly say i think i deserve an exemption.
