Ok I'm looking at getting a HK 416, because I love the look of them and am not that gone on m4's.. Not looking to spend the money on a VFC one, so i was gonna go with the JG one http://www.wgcshop.com/.. But then I saw that there was an AGM version available, which is all metal http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_34&products_id=975.. Does anyone have any experience with them or are they any good.. Also is the JG version all metal..

I know that Tony stocks the JG version, but i'm looking for the one with the stock thats shown in the link, as I dont want to have a PEQ box on it for the battery..

    Any advice on this appreciated..

the JG 416 has an abs body but full metal rail system thats adds a nice weight to it and come in 3 stock versions ,collasable (peq version) -crane with battery and full solid stock ,

havent seen the the agm one available here yet ,but if you go by agm m14 it will be a great package ,

    the 416 is a modified m4

the agm is just a re branded jg with agm trades and not the hk trades, be aware that the stock jg 416 will come in at around 400fps so you will need to have it downgraded (Irish retailers will clearly have had theres downgraded at source)

Thanks lads, I was looking to try and get a full metal version and the agm one caught my eye.. So the agm version is just a rebranded jg?? I was gonna get it from gunner as they offer downgrades and its the crane stock version I'm looking for.. does tony offer an upgrade service on them, by replacing the collapsable stock with a crane stock wired for the battery...

    It's a modified G-36.
My Ex girlfriend looked like a ho. That dosn't mean she was.
Well actually she was. - But that was purely coincidental.......

    Bitter? Moi?:D

mate.i've got a JG S System with metal RIS. It's quite heavy as it is and seeing as the 416 has a longer frontend, if it does have a metal rail system,i'd imagine it would be alright..

Have the JG 416, Think it's great, would pick it over the AGM. Had to downgrade it when it arrived though... I'd go with the JG tbh

+1 for JG, but i'm torn between the cool looking crane stock version:

    http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=648

and the uber practical (and probably more useful) full stock and longer barrel version:

the crane stock is just as practical as it can also hold a considerably large battery, only issues is these battery's are normal non standard and you might need to buy addition spare

I went with the crane stock because it had the Black reciever as opposed to the armalite-grey one. And then I gave it a battery box anyway because I wanted to give it a special stock.

Ya its the crane stock version I'm looking for.. But can anyone confirm that as Puding said, the AGM version is just a rebranded JG.. I'm not too bothered by the poor looking trades on the AGM version as I would rather the full metal version..

if it is a rebranded JG then its very unlikely to be full metal, the reciever will be ABS and the front rail will be metal.,

agm version does have the metal body with a vfc style bolt cover, from everything i;ve seen and read everything else is the same externally at least, but could be wrong

I can only speculate about you ex girlfriend but the 416 is based on the M16/M4 series. The only connection it has to the g-36 is that it uses the same short-stroke gas piston system that HK develped instead of the ****ty direct system in the M16 line.

I can confirm that bout his missus., :p

But he is right though, the 416 internally is designed off the G36, they just made it fit into an M4/M16 style reciever, thats why they called it the "416".,:)

Its almost entirely parts compatible with an m4 though, the upper receiver can be dropped into an m4 lower and works completely.

The gas system is like the g36 one but the bolt is similar to an m4 bolt afaik.

Feck it who cares, they all run on electricity in airsoft.

All the bits that make it go "BANG!" are stripped from a G36 and pimped to fit in a Lada - sorry M4.
And speak for your self, mine runs on a mixture of 43% electricity, and 57% Loove!:D

yup, they started with an XM8 and then "M4ized" it a bit so it would be easier to pick up and use for the soldier who was trained with an M4.,

The gas system is the g36 type alright, I think they kept the rest of the parts compatible though, that was one of the main factors in its design to keep interchangeability up and armory costs down.

I've just been reading a bit about it there, cant tell if the bolt is new or dramatically different though.

The upper receiver is all new on a 416, it can be used on a standard m4 lower receiver, but alot of the main components were re-made, hk kept any of the good design features of the AR design though.

Call me silly, but I like the ability to fire from prone.

It's just something I do from time to time. I'm not married to the idea or anything. But it's nice to chill out, lie low, and squeeze off a few rounds without having to dig a trench for the magazine first.
