I just came to this forum today. Here are a few thoughts.

To those of you who have posted requests for prayers, your stories have touched and humbled me. Your faith is so sincere, I hope that God will bring you comfort.

To those in the Theological forums, the breath and scope of your knowledge is just plain scary! Some of you are so widely read that you make my dalliances seem feeble by comparison. If I have enough time I'll try and keep up with all of you.

How do other new people feel here. Well worth spending an hour or two just reading what other people have put up.

I read here and atheism for months before posting.

I always find all the posters very polite and will give you genuine answers if you ask genuine questions.

It' always worth lurking and getting a feel for fora like this rather than just barrelling in and posting something thats either accidentally ignorant or posted 1,235,643 times already, would be my advice on how to cope.

Oh and watch out for PDN, I hear he has laser eyes.

Welcome to the forum, Dog Fan!

Nobody here has all the answers, despite some of us doing our best to pretend that we do. :)

So feel free to contribute. I would love this forum to become a place where Christians, or those with an interest in Christianity, would feel free to ask questions and share those things that sometimes trouble us.

At present we're often too busy swatting flies to do that - but I have faith that will improve.

    Welcome, Dog Fan.

I completely agree with you, PDN. No fingers being pointed, but I feel that too often threads are side tracked.

Hello Dog Fan, welcome to this forum! :) We can all learn from each other. So I hope you learn a few things here and I'm sure your contributions will be valuable too. Your humility is refreshing :)

    God bless,
    Noel.

I've personally learned so much from coming here. Lost some long held beliefs, and gained some new ones. Its like to think of it as a bit of an online congregation only better, as its not just all the same beliefs. So many people bring so many different things to the table.

    Enjoy,
    J.
