"The Office" - all the qualities of the show were here.

I'm going to nominate the season 4 finale of Regenesis. It was their last season (and they knew it from the start), so they built up an intricate story for a fantastic and inventive payoff,

setting the majority of the episode at a tribunal 30 years into the future, where the main characters had to answer for their actions up to that point.

Incredibly clever, but since I'm probably the only person in Europe watching it, I'll shut up now.
