Not knocking Jessops, but you can get the warranty from anywhere. It's not Jessops who guarantee the camera but Canon.

Jordan. I don't think there's an easy way to find the shutter actuations on a used 40D.

However, for new ones, you should be able to buy from Kea-Photo or Digital-Rev or URGalaxy on ebay. All reliable, and no duty to pay for UK delivery.
