    The smell of one just re-cased :) If only I could get a new Mac every week, that fresh aroma of a new model :D

    is this akin to getting your own machine reconditioned?

    Yes, sounds interesting - where did you get the new casing from, and did you do the re-casing work or was it done for you?

    Afraid not, uber, it was not anything like that.

    Some of us Macbook users would have had a small panel crack appear on it's outside and are eligible for replacement under warranty; I had mine replaced on Friday and the fresh smell took me back to the day she came out of her box :D
