Has anyone ever played through this Sega RPG ?

I remember a friend having this one, It was tough as nails, and not only that it had no save points. Possibly one of the only RPG's i've ever some across that has none. (I remember my friends brother having the sega on for about two days in a bid to finish it. He got killed by a boss the amount of cursing was hilarious).

I'm playing through it myself at themoment on GENS (Using save states obviously) but i'm still finding it tough enough. Despite that its a pretty sweet little RPG that was prabably a bit ahead of its time with regards to certain elements ofthe game such as the weight system. The battle system is terrible however.

Its also (as most games of the time) has a pretty alright and catchy soundtrack.

So impress me, did anyone here manage to beat it in its original format ?

I've heard an awful lot about this game. For some reason it's quite popular despite being regarded as by far one of the worst games ever created. I haven't played it myself but going on the youtube videos and especially how hardcore gaming 101 rips into it every chance they get I won't be trying it soon. Did hear the soundtrack was excellent.

Super hydlide however can never compare to the sheer horror of virtual hydlide on the saturn, a game that is off the hook with the sh*itness.
