My own house. Easily destoyable stairs, access to two roof levels, plus terraced houses so escape across the rooftops is an option if nessecary.

Familiar with the geographical area for about 20 miles radius.

Family cars and my pick up within jumping distance from the lower roof as an escape route if nessecary.

Small town so smaller outbreak, right between 3 points to scavenge for food (not to mention 2 pubs spitting distance from the house).

Garda station close by to hopefully scavenge radios.

Plenty large drums to contain & collect water, A variety of fruit and vegetables growing in the gardens already, a variety of pointy and blunt implements strewn throughout the sheds and house that can be used to my advantage.

A mans home truely is his castle.

    Zombie fan convention.

'Was about to post this to "Worst place to be...", what with the confusion of who is/isn't etc, but realized if you could readily identify non-zombies, then you'd be amongst the group of people most prepared and readily organizable for Z-Day.

The magazine fort in Pheonix park, need to bring your own supplies though or somewhere that freezes over for the winter for a respite from the hoards.

I'm gonna go with the local Airport for me.

Only one way in and out, so if I get there before any Zombies have taken over I could last weeks.

The house would be ok too... for a few months at least.

Not really, theres no access through the houses even through the attics. The walls are solid block between all the houses and theres definitely no way a zombie could use the roofs for access, you'd still need a ladder to get from the lower roof to the first floor.

I'd imagine that Space would be a relatively good place to be during the outbreak. Failing that, however, an army barracks would suffice. At least then you could be prepared for any infiltrations that might occur, and boobytrap the grounds.

Yep Bunratty came to my head too. The grounds around it are enclosed with a high thick stone wall, and the castle itself has walls that must be six to ten feet thick in places, plus the only entrance is a door that is well above ground level with a stairway to it that would be easy to barricade.

As long as it was well stocked with provisions, it would be a handy place to survive, and in time that dual carriage way out front would be the way to get to Limerick, Shannon, Ennis on food gathering runs in our armoured vehicles. :)

Preferably a well equipped Mall in the US with access to a gun store. :)

The guide lists things like prisons and oil rigs but I'm thinking a zoo. The defensiveness of a prison, might be guns somewhere (probably tranquilisers which would be useless but you never know), large stores of food (some of it walking around in cages) and you could always release some of the elephants for defense. You could probably stay out of their way but zombies would go right for them which I'd have to see.

And then you end up with zombie elephants around the place. :)

Funderland, if it was on of course. It's be a laugh herding zombies onto the Disco Blast and not strapping them in. It's high risk but the rewards would be highly comical. Plus you could live on giant lolly pops and candy floss! Although, worst case scenario, you yourself could get zombified and have no teeth with which to eat humans. Just make sure than when they get you they're left mopping their plates, wouldn't be hard either what with all that sugar in your system from the lolly pops and candy floss.

I'd go for Antarctic base or supply ship. The Z's would freeze up cos they don't have circulation and you could just stroll nonchalantly away while they froze up.

Would also provide for some rather atmospheric 'The Thing' moments.

So freeze em out...hop on a ship to Patagonia, bit of sightseeing, then on to Argentina for hot chicks after it all blows over.

It has to be a small - medium sized boat say a 20 - 30 ft Yacht would be best as its self powered (by wind) and not reliant on fuel. Id say you would probably be best off anchoring up in one of the bigger loughs on the Shannon initially (Derg, Rea, Erne) and making your way towards the mouth of the Shannon incase you have to make a sea crossing if rescue does'nt arrive. You would need fishing rods, a depth / fish finder and a harpoon gun. You could be pretty self sufficient / safe for a long period of time providing that the fish were unafected by the virus / curse.

The Smithfield Tower. You may die because of a lack of food and water, but damn, it's a nice view of the slaughter.
Either there, or in a cricket club. (just for the chance to bash 'em Shaun-style) :p

Not true. Those loughs would be full of people. Over fishing/pollution (sewage) would kill off the fish pretty quickly. Not a good plan.

I'd have to agree, since the land has been plagued by Zombies the sea would be the only option, i'd have a Yacht about the same size as his.

Things i'd have in my yacht. Fishing Net/Rod, An Axe, a shotgun for protection and a spear because unlike the harpoon gun you could use a spear as much as you want, also some rope and duct tape

The only place to be is North Belfast! Antrim Road RUC Station is built like a fort. I've had the misfortune to be in the place and it has an armoury fully stocked of assault rifles and SMG's. The vehicles outside are all armoured landrovers. The walls are 30ft high and bomb proof. It has plenty of room. It has bunkers at street level that you can open the bullet proof glass and shoot out. Tesco's is directly across the road. It has two sets of electronically operated gates, which the dead space between is covered by a bunker.

    It's a zombie death trap!

You could be in the superest duperest hidey hole ( the RUC one in North Antrim sounds really good) But really doesn't it all boil down to some daft git with a conscience that won't let anyone kill the pregnant chick/granny/child who has 'a scratch', or if it is a 100% bite for sure he will say something along the lines of 'but we are lowering ourselves to their standards' or 'where is your humanity' etc. :pac:

    What about Croke Park?
think about it. Its quite secure and hopefully there would be lots of food that would have been used in the shops and restaurants there.:)

That' wouldn't happen in real life though. People like me with no morals would kill the elderly with my ex RUC assault rifle as a waste of food and other resources..... Actually I'd save the bullets and beat them to death with a mallet. Children I would save for the sake of humanity, but if you get a Z bite then I'd kill them as quick as look at them.

The random dude that hides a bite is a constant danger, but essentially you sleep in a locked room and remain armed 24hrs a day!!!!!

man i would kill thr scratched person and the whiny where is your humanity lad!
