Ticket Situation

Here's an interesting one that I'd like some feedback on.

I bidded and won a listing for 3 tickets on eBay. I put payment through on paypal promptly.

But didn't receive anything. I contacted the seller after two weeks and he spun me an excuse that he was sick and would send them the next day. One more week passes and still nothing. I then used the PayPal dispute system to ask again for them to be sent on to me under the non-delivery of goods option. This worked and I recieved a package the following day.

But it only contained a single ticket. Now the listing clearly listed under it's description "Numer of tickets: 3" and the listing name was clearly named "Tickets" a plural...

So I have now escalated things to a claim saying that if I'm refunded in full I'll return the single ticket I've recived as it is of no use to me.

But the claim is still under the 'non-delivery of goods' option, so paypal seemed to just go and look for tracking number information off the seller... so it doesn't look like they've read the correspondence at all.

Did the seller give the tracking info in the Paypal dispute yet? Paypal tend not to read much on those disputes, in my experience, and any tracking info provided by the seller will likely close the dispute, even though it's not all there. I don't know if you can then file a 2nd dispute or not. You could close the current one, then start a new one for "not as described". If this fails, chargeback with the credit card (if you used one) and return the single ticket you received (by registered post).

Was a quantity box listed, the ticket setup on ebay is appalling, very easy to make mistakes making an auction, not nearly enough advice or warnings.

Post a link to the auction page so people can see if it is dodgy.

If the seller listed 3 tickets for sale and only supplied you with one then you have a case. A lot of sellers try that trick of putting 3x tickets in the auction title and all over the auction then send one out and claim you were only bidding for one - even though this is not mentioned in the auction. The buyer wins them cases 9 times out of 10.

Email PayPal and let them know you have received your item but inform them of the problem (as above) - your case should be refiled for you as a not as described claim then.

    Here's the listing here:

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160235203656&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=006

The product description clearly lists "Number of tickets: 3"

complaint-response * @ * paypal.co.uk is your friend here, shoot off an email to that.

If you don't hear back from that email by Monday then send me a pm of your case number and the details and i'll take a look at it for you.

Yep, it is perfectly clear. Even has the face value listed, there is no argument that it was for 1.
