It is true, Tony will sell ya an adaptor over on eirsoft. Will it damage the gun? it could damage the gun, propane is more powerful than 134, but I'll let one of our gas experts fill ya in on the details.

Basically I use propane in most of my GBBs except in really warm weather, although I have had a pistol blow up on me from doing this so it's not without its dangers.

All GBB guns have a life expectancy, Propane, which IS green gas will shorten it.

BandQ rip you off for propane. They charge 16.50 a bottle. Same size bottle is €9 in Churchtown Stores. Dunno what the prices are elsewhere.

Basically when propane meets warm air it expands more/faster than 134 so it generates more power for your GBB. Most GBBs will take that force but weaker ones may be damaged, what have you got? Also, propane has no lubricant in it so you need to buy silicone too(very cheap, a €7 can lasts a life time).

Its not just that it expands quicker, it's stored under higher pressure

Makes for a great excuse though,

    "wasn't me, it's the pistol..."

Green gas and propane are basically the same, but green has silicon oil in it and doesn't stink, though I like the smell of propane now...

If a gbb can take green gas it can take propane, most metal gbbs can handle it, some japanese abs ones cant.

green gas does actually smell though, just not as much since its filtered but if you vent a mag you can smell the propane., I actually filtered propane myself a while back to see what it would be like and it was exactly like green gas.,:)
