who id like to see make the ryder cup european team (to win for the 4th time in a row!)

    Westwood - Stenson - Garcia - Harrington - Rose - Karlsson - McDowell - Jimenez - Dougherty - Donald - Clarke (wild card) - Monty (wild card)

If the wild cards are playing well at that stage of course

As an Irishman I would love to see

Harrington, McGinley, Clarke, McGrane, Lawrie, McIlroy, Murphy, McDowell, Garcia, Westwood

Wild Cards to Jimenez and Monty

    Realistically however my predictions are

Harrington, McGinley, Clarke, McDowell (yes 4 Irish), Garcia, Rose, Stenson, Westwood, Karlsson, Donald

    Wild: Monty and Jimenez

It's also possible that Faldo will consider McIlroy for a Wild Card if he is close - Faldo and McIlroy have a history.

Not quite....unless you know something we don't!

McIlroy knows Faldo quite well from the Faldo Junior Series.

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/07/20/1983964.htm

"McIlroy was 11 shots better than his mentor Nick Faldo, who has helped establish his career through the Faldo Series, and four ahead of another player who has encouraged him, fellow Northern Irishman Darren Clarke"

This is tough as there's so many tournaments left. Here's my list:

Stenson, Rose, Westwood, Dougherty, Harrington, Karlsson, Garcia, Clarke, Jimenez, Donald (if he can get some form soon)

    Picks - Poulter & Monty

Hope McIlroy & McGinley have a good summer and get in!

Harrington, Stenson, Rose, Garcia, Casey and Westwood are all certain

And I suppose Poulter and Donald are pretty much certain as well, either on their own or as picks.
    Karlsson will make it also.
    Likewise Monty will be there.
Then theres Jiminez who is always in the order of merit top ten.
Clarke might make it if his form continues to improve but I don't think it will.

But the other spot will definitely be an Irishman, I personally fancy that McIlroy is the one who will make it.

    So thats my team then,

Harrington, Stenson, Rose, Garcia, Casey, Westwood, Poulter, Donald, Karlsson, Montgomery, Jimenez and McIlroy

And if that is not the lineup then some of these will be in,
Clarke, McDowell, McGrane, Chopra, Dougherty and Kaymer.

And mmmm, let me see, who am I missing?

I really couldn't rule out Finch after his last two performances.

Doubt Casey will make it unless he starts palying some decent golf soon..

oopsie, I forgot Casey, maybe him instead of Dougherty/Jiminez....

Theres always an unlikely guy who makes the team, so maybe one out of....
    Kaymer/Oliver Wilson/Bradley Dredge/Chopra

Would love to see more Irish on team but cant see it really....McGinley doin well this week tho....:)

Westwood, Garcia, Karlsson, Harrington, Kaymer, Rose, Donald, McDowell, Stenson, Mcginley(if he wins this week ;))

    Wild cards: Casey(or Dougherty), Clarke(or Monty) :D

Agree with rigal about Casey so far this season but think he will come good. Played really well at the Masters up to the final round. Rose is in the same boat also.

I'm a big fan of his, but I think we may have seen the last of Monty at the Ryder cup... until he becomes captain of course.

Dont think McElroy will make it. He missed cut today. Badly. He is finding it tough on the european tour this year. I think its been an eye opener for him. No doubt he is an unbelieveable talent and this year will stand to him but I would be too nervous to see him in the ryder cup team.

Great if we had four there. Harrington, Clarke, McGinley and McDowell.

Interesting choice with Langer. He's playing great this season and not just on the Champions Tour. Doubt Faldo would pick him though especially considering he was one of his contemparies - Faldo's ego wouldn't let him :D
