changing to O2

Changed over to O2 from 3Pay on Tuesday and as of today am still unable to make calls. I understand they have trouble provisioning subscribers that have been ported across at the moment but in fairness a 3 day delay is taking the p1ss. I would have thought O2's support would be a bit more efficient than this. Anyone else experiencing similar delays? Apparently it is only affecting subs that have been ported across from other networks. New subs appear to be unaffected.

    Cheers,

Contact the shop / O2 Dealer where you filled in all the forms they will sort it for you alot faster than u ringing up O2 yourself!

Don't think the shop can speed up the process as it is O2 themselves that actually activate the new sim. The shop really only forwards on the info. According to their helpdesk the whole issue is suposed to be resolved by tomorrow before start of business. Fingers crossed . . .

not in the slightest bit surprised, I tried porting a customer over for over a week and it still failed, o2 are thick enough that they dont care now that people are moving back to them for their free messages. I h8 them cos of this stuff like the poster experienced and after being wit them long enough i just choose vodafone-as the say you pay for what u get!;)sorry to be blunt and ignorent about it

Having this problem myself after switching over on tuesday, went back to the shop yesterday and they said it might be 24 hours. I rang there costumer service line today and they said they have no idea when it will be working.

I rang again this morning and was told that there are 300 other subs in the same situation as myself but they still have no idea as to when we will be set up correctly. I've lost all confidence with O2 as a result of this. I understand networks have problems from time to time (I work in the telecomms industry myself) but there is no way our customers would remain in business if it took 4+ days to port a number. I've decided to give it until Saturday morning after which I will be switching to either meteor or vodafone.

    cheers,

Same situation here, changed from Vodafone to O2 on Tuesday and it's still not working. Very frustrating, it's hard to understand how a problem like this could take so long to fix.

I've been back to the shop and on to O2 a few times and gotten different stories of when it'll be working again, so I assume they don't really know.

wohoooo lucky you i'm on to o2 as we speak to get my motorola unlocked from the crap network and they tell me its not an o2 phone-it doesnt accept vodafone or meteor and it says enter subsity code... I got it as a "swap out" from o2! Once i have it unlocked-if ever- I wont be moving back ever!!!! + as I'm on now a large number of o2 customers are unable to top up their mobiles on speakeasy!! what kin of network is this?!!!!

ever think the porting problem was with the originating network? thats usually where port issues lie, the problem at the moment isnt with ports its with provisioning
