Samsung LCD flickering red dots issue

I got a Samsung 32'' LCD TV a few days ago. I have it connected to a PS3 with a HDMI cable. Both the console and cable are new too.

On the second day I had the TV, I had the PS3 dispay set to 1080i, which the TV supports, and after about 10 or 15 mins I noticed a red pixel bouncing/flickering in the bottom left of the screen. After a while it gets more intense and then a second, third, fourth flickering pixel appears. As time goes on it gets more intense and seems to almost appear like a horizonal row of flickering red dots.

I changed the PS3 display settings down to 720p, the same thing happens, sometimes straight away, sometimes after 5 - 15 mins.

The only way I can stop it from happening is when I put the display settings way back down to 576.

So this is only happening when something is being displayed in 720p - 1080i.

I've looked around on forums and seen several topics with similar issues like this. Anyone here have any idea on a fix for this or would I be best brining the TV back to the store for a replacement?
