Ok, we need some scientists for this one.

So im stuck on a desert island with no food. My friends who were on the boat with me have become undead but i managed to avoid infection.

However I have no coconuts left and Im hungry.

Normally i could just eat my dead friends "alive" style. Is it safe for me to eat my undead friends or do i risk infection?

Should i just cook them to well done?

    You risk infection.

However zombies do not need food (or water, air etc) so joining them is the logical choice.

I would say this depends on if he is a "science"(disease spreading) zombie or a "magic" (hell is full and souls are coming back) zombie.

    Which you thinkin'?

Nah. A better bet would be to lash em to trees and wait for the Gulls to decend, then pick them off. You would go longer on Birds than zombies Id imagine.

How do you cook and eat somethign that can't die...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Its like the age old riddle, what is the sound of one zombie hand clapping.

Hmm. I'd go with joining them. If you can't beat em....and all that jazz.

Ok if you want to eat the zombies I have a suggestion:

Dont take sections with moving parts e.g. a thigh cant move on its own but connected to a knee or hip it can .... that would be off putting. Go for slivers of flesh ... think rashers as opposed to a roast.

Unlike mummies though zombies have no regenetive powahs so your food stock is limited. Ration.

I think in terms of surviving we have already got the answer. To survive as a human you could use the zombies as a kind of motor, and strap them to the boat and zombie power yourself back to civilisation.

Build two wooden head racks from the coconut tree's . (like a wooden grid)
The grid isnt quite sqaure (with one end straight and the other slighly curved) and allows room for the chin. The second grid is the same but will be rotated to firmly lock the head into position.

Now how it works is you place the first rack over the zombies heads until their heads stick through the grids.(easy enough ) then place the second rack ( tricky) over their heads and rotate it 360 degrees. This will lock their heads firmly in place. Now place the zombies (if they are not already) in the water. They will be unable to get into the boat due to the constraint's of the rack design. They can only create energy. which if strapped to the Boat will cause a forward motion as long as they try to eat you.

If you prefer you can place two racks simultaenously and then rotate the upper rack to lock into position or lock each zombied individually and then lock into a group.

Eating them would be absolutely out of the question. If you're on a desert island and need food all you need to do is go fishing :p.
