Do they not charge for every transaction? I'd be hoping to get around £500 what ever that is in euro prob €650.

Yes but 5 transactions for example is gonna cost you less than €10 and I'd much prefer to do that than be going around with €650 in my pocket or in my hotel room.

You'll probably be limited to getting £200'ish out at a time though, cannot remember exactly right now, but I always just use the cash machines over there.

Don't know where you're going to be exactly, but I've gotten very good rates from Marks and Spencers stores before.

I never really shopped around before, but I've found that withdrawing money from an ATM with my AIB card is cheaper than changing at the bank, even though I'm charged no commission.

Go to JWT in O'Connell St ask for nothern irish sterling he will sell it to you on the cheap without commission. If your going to main land uk then just go into any bank or post office they will swap it over for you free of charge;)

I have an Ulster Bank card and got money from atms in Wigan a fortnight ago commission-free. Just make sure your card has the "Cirrus" symbol.
