I had a working SKY account, and a box and a card for that, and a non working SKY box {freeview}.

When I swapped cards, I used get a message that said, to this effect, that "This is not the card for this box".

That was with 2 Irish issued boxes, one SKY connected, the other decommisioned.

    Hope this helps.

Ya should be able to use sky card on any box. All the box does it receives channel signal and then your card decodes all channels. Your box will receive every channel that your dish will pick up (thousands) and your card will determine what u channels can be decoded

I think what he's saying here is "The card will decode any channel that it is entitled to decode, apart from those premium channels that require the card to be paired to a specific box."

At least that's what I think he's saying. I'm not that good at txt spk m8.:D

Anyway, what rlogue says is true.

Ignore the message. If you have premium channels (they won't work) ring Sky with card & box number and they will re-match.

As long as the dish is pointed at 28.2E orbital slot and is in the footprint. (Egypt or Austrialia won't work).
