Legal rights of Retention of Property

What legal status do I have if my property is being held by someone who refuses to return it.

I fell out with this person and have been able to retrieve some of my property. However due to the fact that I was not able to contact the person themselves, I had no alternative but to approach a family member to see if they could reason with the person and return my items. This worked to some degree whereby I received some of my property but now they are refusing to contact me to let me know when i can retrieve the rest. The only means of contacting this person is by txt due to the phonecalls not being answered. I have also given the person numberous suggestions on ways to return the items whereby they dont have meet me (a drop off place) but this has not being done. I am in a way chasing this person for approximately 7/8 weeks but to no avail. The person may claim harrassment at the amount of txt messages etc. However I only send a message around every 3rd day asking "When am i going to be able to have my stuff returned?"

-Can anyone please suggest what my next step will be as one item that is being retained has sentamental value.

Give a solicitor or judge judy a call if you cannot sort out this great big mess between yourselves.
