we,us ladies have started a wine making group,only we are finding it very difficult to source the equipment,the one place we found was 3 times that of on-line uk but the little we need dosn`t warrant on-line buying,we are using the hedgerows (gorse nettles etc)we need demi johns and also advice as how to do this on a budget,poor housewifes that we are!
where to get equipment for wine making?demi johns we need,yeast we seem only to have in sachets but i remember some-one had a tub which worked out cheaper,where to find these ?even large spirit bottles would do,help

Homebrewers often use watercooler bottles as demis. Other than that, scour the free listings for useful stuff people are giving away.

Yeast you'd be better off buying online from Grape & Grain or The Homebrew Centre (or somewhere abroad).

Regarding yeast you can get some very good, cheap and selective strains nowadays, i tend to avoid tubs of yeast as the can be an increased risk of contamination
