Newbie: question about printing on canvas

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie who loves taking photo's but its very much a hobby, hoping to spend some time improving and asking you all loads of questions. I'm really impressed by some of the photos I've seen while scrolling through threads. I'm in a totally different class but want to start to use the SLR my husband bought me so will be asking loads of questions. At the moment most of the photos tend to be of our baby son so cute but not a lot of interest to any of you:)
I really want to start to print more of the photos and frame a few around the house and for grandparents etc. I've checked some of the online printers and see they offer prints to canvas, think they look great and would love to get one for hubbies birthday - to show my camera pressie wasn't wasted!
Any tips on which developer to use or how to get the best image would be greatly appreciated.

if you're in Dublin, stcstc here on boards does brilliant canvas prints (and block mounting which looks even better!). They are better than any of the online printers, or Reads

Thanks for the reply Cambo, unfortunately I'm not in Dublin - 100 miles away in middle of nowhere so it will have to be online. Just wondered if anyone could recommend one particular online printer for canvas.
