Boylesports have optimistically allowed me to price up some WSOP markets, the highlight of which is the heads up matches which attracted a lot of interest when i did them at my previous job with Stan James (and of course we got filled in and did our brains :(). So here goes again.

    http://www.boylesports.com/betting/index.asp?sl=sltc&gi=28&sltc=69631.1&slm=1032696.1

This particular market asks who will win the most money over the entire duration of the WSOP, from the 1st event to the last. If you unsure of anything let me know

    Cheers

    Paul

That's cool and the ****ing gang!

Where would be the best website that would post up the results etc., so we could follow who's winning?

    Any tips?

I thought they were pricing up the boards.ie HU matches.

I was just thinking about it lads.

I am offering myself for sponsorship including flights and accommodation to the wsop heads up event. It will cost you a lot of money but look at the possible returns.

I will guarantee you I will lose my first round match.

Now theres a sure fire winner.

surely that will just be the person who wins the main event?? or is this market for all events other than the main event and probably the 50k horse? 2million 1st prize last year

Phew! I was thinking I might have to sign up to PP to get my degen WSOP betting on. Any chance of the followin:

Chip Leader at the end of Day 1 (list of say 10-20 players)
Player X to win a bracelet. Negreanu is offering 5/1 on him again this would be fun to have a few bets on some of those to keep the interest while following some events. Obviously tricky with not knowing player numbers or how many events players will play but just stick a lot cap on the max bet or something.
To make the final tables of the PLO C'ship event and the other championship events would be good too you know all the big players will play and that the overall player numbers are going to be pretty decent. Picking a final tablist for the ME is like trying to work out if 4 will be the first ball out in Rapido.

EDIT: good to see you haven't filled your markets with under 21's like PP have too!

It is on topic isn't it? wsop heads up and good bet all in one.:D

But I will say this, this is the second one of these to go up in a couple of days.
I am just asking if these type of threads are not more suited to the gambling forum and more importantly the thread title is misleading, everyone is going to jump into this thread because they think its about the boards heads up competition.
Imo this is sports betting and not poker.

Did you look at the market? Its who will win more between 2 players.

Hmm, its a good market, ill give you that much,

    BUT (theres always a but)
    5/6 each side isn't great.
A 110% book in a headsup market is pretty bad.
Boyles are normally very good, very often offering evs on both sides for a heads up handicap.
For this i'd expect 10/11 TBH

In fairness why would they offer evens (100% overround)? 5/6 is standard for handicap betting

Read it slowly and think about it.

Boyles often offer Evens on handicapps. Very often,
This is not a 100% book, can you see why?

5/6 is terrible for handicap betting. Seriously, you will always get a better price than that.
5/6 isn't as bad here, but I still thunk 10/11 is better

Split the difference and make it 20/23 thats a good Euro style price too. Seeing as they are the only ones offereing the market going the standard 5/6 seems pretty fair. Its not like anyone is going to be betting massive amounts on it anyway. Only time I have ever seen Evens on both sides is Lads for betting on which side will win the coin toss and who the hell bets on that! If you seen Evens on a h'cap its probably because there is also 16/1 the draw.

    Hi All

I did ask the Mod's if this was ok to post here before doing so, i thought it would appeal to poker players rather than punters due to its specialist nature.

There will be a few new markets going up in the next few days, including a new match bet. I like some of the ideas you have proposed, not sure about pricing up a chip leader but will take a look at it.

I agree about the 5/6 but as it is a specials market and Boyles are putting their faith in me pricing these up correctly i can understand their decision. 107.89 isnt the greatest but its the best I can offer at the moment im afraid. We have already been filled in on one market which we have had to take down.

Looks like a very lazy effort to me, pricing the entire field at 5/6

I thought Cunningham might have the edge over Hellmuth, but I went to the WSOP site to look at their cashes and it really blows you away just how good Hellmuth really is at hold em, look at his 2006 WSOP. On balance I still think Cunningham is probably a favourite, but you have to respect Hellmuth's WSOP hold em results.

    Here's Hellmuth's:

    Cunningham not exactly shabby either:

    ?
i presume the effort was in finding those of equal probability/quality. if it was a lazy effort then do you mean there's standout value in any of the above match ups??
