Surely it'll be a rematch with Vera. I hope so anyway.

I dont think Vera or his people want a rematch will Lee, they definitely wouldn't want one in Ireland.

I would be very surprised if it was against him, I hope it is though.......

Well let's hope if it is a rematch, Lee's camp don't allow Vera to weigh in heavy, and yet again, endanger their man. Idiots!!!!!

Yeah, Lee needs a change of management urgently.
This guy is the biggest talent I have seen from this country for a long time. He has all the tools to make a top class fighter, but bad management will destroy even the best boxers.

Who do people think he should take on in his next fight?

From watching the fight against Vera, it's pretty clear Lee needs to improve his inside fighing and tying up skills. For these reasons I think somebody like Howard Eastman would make a good opponent. He's beatable but he presents enough challenges to make it an interesting fight.

Doesn't look like Vera. His crowd seemed reluctant for the rematch only a week after it fight ... and him coming to Limerick for it is unllikely!

alright lads hows it going cant really remember much of the fight was bad quality picture but do you guys think it was a bad stoppage in his last fight he seemed to be punching back when the fer jumped in what do you guys think? plus do any of you guys think either lee or duddy would beat pavilik at the moment or ever

I think it was a woeful stoppage because just before the ref stopped it Lee threw a punch that wobbled Vera. I'm disappointed he's not going to fight Vera in his next fight. I think he needs to set the record straight. So, hopefully after this fight in Limerick he goes back to America and fights Vera. If Lee learns how to fight on the inside and gets a little stronger i think he would have a better chance than Duddy against Pavlik. I think Duddy would be stopped by Pavlik, if not by a clean knockout, then on a tko because of cuts. I think this is a recurring problem for him because he just gets hit too often(I hope it doesn't end up shortening his career)
Lee has the skill to win on points. Having said all that Pavlik has the power to knockout Lee as well.

I agree with you - I thought it was a bad stoppage but looking back Lee didnt give the ref much option. Although he was a mile ahead on the cards and if he got through that round should have gone on to win the fight, he was getting knocked around like a rag doll in the round it was stopped.

I watched it on Channel 5 (which I am not sure if ye get in Ireland) and it looked like Lee left his defense back in the lockeroom, either that or he was watching to many Duddy videos.

Word on the street is that Lee is provisionally in place for the DLH v Mayweather rematch , not sure if that's a good thing or not(sometimes it's best to keep fighters out of the limelight on comebacks) but it's big news for Lee anyway and although his fastrack to success has been derailed it seems he is still being pushed on at a reasonable place .

The Vera fight won't happen till Vera realises beating one name prospect with only 15 fights won't get you big fights . The biggest money fight for Vera is a rematch and if he doesn't take the fight sometime in the next year he probably won't get it at all and will lose all marketing value when he loses(to someone else) .

strange things are said on the streets of nenagh. the de la hoya/mayweather rematch is at welterweight and andy is nowhere near ready for either fighter anyway. the next fight for mayweather (if he wins) is the hatton rematch in wembley or croke park. its de la hoya's second last fight and cotto is being spoken of as a possible final fight. itll be a long, long time before andy lee gets near a title shot. duddy is our only hope....for now

by in place I meant on the card , I'm well aware Andy isn't going to be taking on DLH or Mayweather...........ever .

McCloskey and Macklin are much better hopes than Duddy .

while macklin is young and fights like a warrior i feel mccloskeys lack of a knockout punch will come back to haunt him at some stage. i still see duddy as irelands best hope, but macklin has a great chance aswell.
