9:30 pm The Pink Floyd Story: Which One's Pink?
Part of Pink Floyd Night. Film tracing the band's history from psychedelic 60s London to their reunion appearance at Live 8 in 2005. Some strong language and flashing images.

10:30 pm Classic Albums: Dark Side of the Moon
Part of Pink Floyd Night. The story of the making of Pink Floyd's landmark album. With contributions from Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. Some strong language.

11:20 pm Syd Barrett: Crazy Diamond
Part of Pink Floyd Night. Omnibus pays tribute to rock legend and founder member of Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, the creative genius behind the band's early pioneering music. [AD,S]

    Great :)

    Mike.

Ooh, I'll be tuning in at 11:20 for sure. Think I've seen the DSOTM doc before.

I've seen the Syd Barrett doc before, it's brilliant, really quite sad though.

I'll be tuning in for the other two, looking forward to it. Cheers.

**** that, it's just a repeat of what they had already shown last year

Looks good, I shall be tuning in. Would have liked to seen Live at Pompeii or some other live show bundled in with this. But I'm sure the doc's should have a fair selection of clips

They are showing a repeat of the Dave Gilmore concert 2006 concert late on Saturday.

Pompeii would be great but alas...

    Thanks for the heads-up, Mike.

Think I've seen all these before, not 100% sure about the first one, but I'll watch them all again anyway.

This is fairly cool stuff, following on from Genesis night last Friday.

Wonder how long a series this will be - could be very interesting.

Since the Genesis night sort of coincided with their live chat to promote the new DVD, and this Floyd one sort of coincides with Roger Waters London gigs.........who'll be on next week? Springsteen?

So then I just watched four grown men not quite say they'd like to play together again.

    Jebus, pick up the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely tuning into this. The Miscellany thing is the real interest for me. I've seen the others.

Sad to see Rick Wright looking so frail, it hadn't occurred to me the first time round that he looked rather wan for a reason in that interview. Probably one of the last on TV that he did.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,075 ✭✭✭Wattle

Yep I remember seeing that interview and thinking he didn't look very well. It's a shame cos the four of them might have done something after Live 8. No Pink Floyd without Rick.

Grudges tend to end up becoming regrets, sadly.

Nah they're all cuddly and loved up these days in a standoffish English kind of way.
