Is the VOdafone 500Mb for (.99 for Live or for Live/ISP? (I think it's only for Live - dso no POP mail access etc.)

Can someone clear up the ISP thing on meteor? As in exactly how do you go about getting it enbled. I tried about a year ago but the few times I rang up about it the operators hadnt a clue.

Yep, Vodafone Mobile Internet (sic) is only on Live, not ISP.

Other Vf data plans (listed under Other Charges) ...

    Modest: 15MB - €10/Month + €2.50/MB outside of bundle

    Medium: 25MB - €15/Month + €2.00/MB outside of bundle

"Pay as you use": 2c/KB up to 512 kB and 0.5c/kB for any usage over 512kB

    These are on isp.vodafone.ie APN

You ring 'em up, you explain politely that you want data not WAP. They'll pass it up the line. You make sure your phone is set to use data.mymeteor.ie APN (again, not WAP) - this is important. You then keep an eye on View Calls on MyMeteor.ie and make sure your destination is GPRSDATA, not GPRSWAP.

    Easy.

I've updated the page now with this info. Let me know if there's anything else missing or any mistakes.

Yeah, use some exclamation marks or red bold writing to highlight how big a rip-off the vodafone ISP data charges are, and how the "live" service is a handicapped crock of ****e.

Might be a good idea to provide a standard example of a webpage with an estimate of how much one visit to that site would cost.

So lets say it's the boards.ie homepage which is approximately 300Kb - one visit would cost you €6 using GPRSWAP on meteor or €1.40 using GPRSDATA

Just might help put things into perspective.

Don't really wanna have it biased toward one network or another but adding in a list of services supported or not supported isn't a bad idea.

Not a bad idea this. Will look into it :)

Good work. Only thing is try to keep it up to date (and even mention last update date on the page), otherwise you'll do more damage than the good you set out to do. Keep it up, in other words!
