In two short years, Comeback Kid have gone from hardcore underdogs to a wildly successful scene institution, a spot most bands spend years trying to attain. ~ AMP

Comeback Kid formed with one simple purpose in mind: to get out and play some fast, furious hardcore. Two critically acclaimed albums later and after tirelessly touring in the UK, Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Iceland with bands such as Rise Against, Sick Of It All, Madball, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, and Bane, Comeback Kid have become one of the biggest names in hardcore today.

Now, two years since the release of Wake the Dead (Victory / Smallman), Comeback Kid unleashes Broadcasting…their most diverse album yet. Recorded again with pop-punk legend Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room, the album encompasses both heavier and more melodic elements. Lead singer Andrew Neufeld explains, “We wanted to up the ante with this one. Mix it up a little bit more. I think that with music it’s great to explore new things and push the envelope a bit.”

The result is a superbly crafted, hard-hitting tour de force. Described by Neufeld, “This is definitely the darkest record we have ever written. We were going for more of an epic, full sounding album. It still has the classic CBK elements but everything is turned up a notch.” Listen to the album and you will see that this is a modest understatement.

The album also shows maturity in lyrical content. The title track "Broadcasting..." addresses the fear instilled in our society towards those deemed the enemy. “There are figures in the public eye that are portrayed as dangerous and we are told they are the enemy. I think a lot of the time the real enemy is in our own backyard, trying to scare us into believing whatever they tell us. There is danger all around us, but not always where we're told it is,” explains Neufeld.
