Question for those familiar with South African Rand

Hi,

I will be travelling to SA in six months and have just started monitoring the Rand now so that I don't miss out on a bargain or know when Euro value begins to slip.

1 Euro is currently worth 12 Rand approx (11.922). For those who are familiar with the Rand and have been dealing with it in the last year or so,I would like to know is this a good price at the moment? And from what you know, has the Rand fluxuated up or down recently?

I am very familiar with the SA economy. All major players (I am talking investment banks) there expect the ZAR's weakness to continue versus the majors - I would hold off and monitor the situation.
