Launching a new product with sms marketing

    Hi,
    We are launching a new product/service within our company and to start with we have a limited budget to get new customers.
    The product/service is aimed at landlords of property accross ireland. It will be a web based service.

    We currently have a database of approx 15,000 prospects and there mobile phone numbers who would benefit from our service/product.

    We were considering doing a sms campaign to attract prospects on to our site or to make inbound calls to a free phone number for more information.
    I suppose what im really trying to find out if anybody out there has used a sms campaign to generate qualified prospects or have they found that making outbound calls was a better option of getting people to purchase a product.
    Also if anyone has done a sms campaign what sort of percentage could I expect to respond?
    I know Im asking alot here but Im just trying to get a feel on numbers.
