what did you anticipate more gta 4 or metal gear 4

i know gta is already out but what were people more excited about coming out because lets face it these are going to be the best games of the year on the ps3. unless something comes along and takes everybody by surprise.

I wasn't really looking forward to either..as normally expectations are very hard to live up too.
I picked up GTA 4 not expecting much and was not that impressed with it to be honest. Great story but when you stop and play the game it's just the same old GTA nothing really interesting in it.

I've played the MGS online and thought the control and speed of the characters movement were terrible so I probably will wait till it's down to 20 euro before I pick it up.

Maybe I'm getting old but very few games are exciting to me at the moment with the exception of maybe Aliens Colonial Marines, and Brothers in Arms.

I think it fell short in a number of areas.

I'm looking forward to MGS more. Haven't gotten the new GTA yet, what with the damn Leaving Cert. I'm really looking forward to MGS 4, I hope it doesnt turn out to be a disappointment

Was looking forward to both a lot, but as has been said already GTA4 is just not living up to the hype. Maybe im just not far enough into it but there is something about it that I just cannt get into it. Really looking forward to Metal Gear though. Truly one of the great franchises, really hope it delivers.

metal gear solid 4. it's the reason i bought my ps3 last week. GTA being released about the same time was a nice bonus.

Killzone 2 looks pretty good, Sony say it will be the best FPS on PS3.
Some ppl think it could set a new standard in console gaming if it lives up to the hype.

anyways, while i looked forward to gta, and delighted with it, i'm actively anticipating the release of mgs4. i've played since mgs1 on the ps1. the game itself could be utter crap, but as long as the stories good i'm happy. i love every game, but i am actually rubbish at them.

Yeah the story is what makes them. They game play is usually good too though.I wouldnt be the best at them.

Still think the first one will always be the best most atmospheric game I've ever played

Metal gear solid 4 by a long shot. Its the reason I bought ps3 this time last year and I have yet to be dissapointed by a metal gear game(not including the psp ones)

MGS 4-Definately. MGS 2 is the reason I bought my PS2 and Im trying to scrounge some money to buy a PS3 for 4-looks amazing

Nobody thought Call Of Duty 4 would be the game it became....it really surprised everyone who thought assassins creed and haze would be the games of the year but look what happened there--assassins creed was really repetitive and haze got delayed a million times and then turned out to be crap whwn it came out...nyway im lookin forward to MGS4

definatly metal gear solid 4, dont get me wrong GTA 4 i was looking foward to it and it is a good game but for me i thinks its geting a bit boring. Im a huge fan of metal gears, there by far my favourite game franchise and i cant wait for it
