Mario Kart 64 has aged terribly....funny so many people paid good money to find that out

Strange indeed. I'd actually go so far as to say it wasn't really that good to begin with. I thought Super Metroid would be in there though with bomberman and gunstar heroes.

I for one hated Mario Kart 64 the first time around, I dont feel the need to confirm that on VC.

I'm surprised those 3 aren't in there too!
But I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the battle mode in Mario Kart 64 is far far better than the battle modes in any of the other Mario Kart games.

agreed, though the racing leaves a lot to be desired.

Donkey Kong country 2's my choice of VC at the moment, classic platforming..but im stuck on what is probable the hardest level of any game i've ever played..

    Oooh, which one?

Love DKC2's design, it's perfect for both exploring - and speedrunning! :)

I wonder if I can still do sub-2hr 102% completion runs... (or was it sub-3hr?)

if nintendo had any sense they would have had mario kart from teh snes up on VC way before MKWii came out. I no longer have any desire to buy the old mario karts after buying MKWii. also never been a big fan of any other mario kart be it double-dash or 64...
