    hi,

I'm trying to find a recommended hotel/centre for a short stay/weekend for a surprise weekend. Ideally offering some sort of spa and yoga classes.

I've tried searching the forums, but not much luck! Probably my crap search technique though.

I've heard some good reports on Hodson Bay near Athlone? Although, any on the west coast (Kerry/Clare/Sligo/Donegal) would be preferable/good.

Of course, I'm open to suggestion regarding a flight to UK, etc. if that'd be worthwhile too - max 4 days :)

    Cheers,

Im not too sure about the yoga thing but if its a spa you are after then I can highly recommend the Inchdoney Island Lodge and Spa. If the picture of the beaches on their website doesn't convince you nothing will !

    http://www.inchydoneyisland.com/

Its in a beautiful setting and if you get it on a sunny weekend its hard to beat.

Another one that comes to mind is Monart in Co.Wexford. I havent stayed here but a friend recommends it http://www.monart.ie/ and I see they are doing a special for June Bank Holiday weekend- 2 nights bed, brekkie and access to the thermal spa for 320pp. Its quite a plush place to say the least and would make a good surprise.

i've been to both and for setting inchidoney, as mentioned the beach is lovely so if you're lucky and the sun is out, a nice walk out is brilliant. As far as spas and luxury and peacefulness, oh and food (because their restaurant is brilliant) go, monart wins hands down.
