    Hiya,

    I am writing on behalf of a friend who is running Murder Mystery evenings. She has a script for the show but she is currently looking for additional scripts to introduce a bit of variety.

    The basic outline is there is 5 characters who all have a motive to kill the victim. At the moment she works off the theme of a dinner taking place just after the will has been read but she is also open to new ideas in this respect. The essential ingredient here is to build a motive for all 5 characters.Theres no need to worry too much about the characters traits- the actors take care of that but key ingredients like job, social status, marriage status, etc are essential. The script has to show in a very subtle way that only one of the 5 could have committed the murder. If it has twists or illusions in it that lead the audience down a certain route but then surprise them when the true murderer is revealed then all the better.

    At the first stage she is looking to speak with people on the phone and hear their ideas. For plot lines she is interested in then she would like to go further and commission the piece. I should also note that this is paid work but it may suit a student or an unpublished writer. It would also be good to have as a credit on your CV too !
