I'm off to Vienna for work on the 2nd june for a month, I'll be based in Vienna, and won't have much chance to travel around (Working long hours) I may get 1 or 2 days off in the time I'm there. So does anyone have any tips of things to do, places to eat and drink any general tips for living out of a bag for a month?…

They have a deadly funfair at the edge of the city, It's called Praten i think.. summit like that anyhow.. its about 25 minutes from the middle on a tram.

also, there's a deadly palace/hill garden type affair, it's like the former emporer's palace or something, but it's awesome, it's got a hedge-maze and everything..

eat schnitzel while your there, and if you like pastries then you're going to the right place!!

Staying right next to the Funfair, it's a good laugh, but pricey. Haven't had much of a chance to explore yet, but hopefully will get time soon. On the upside I get free travel 1st class in Austria and Sweden, so will make us of that the take a day trip somewhere.

well the best place i ate was at a Gasthaus in Prater(the funfair). Best food ive ever had. i think this particular Gasthaus was called the white horse or something.
