Who will present it next year?

This thread could be knocked on it's head as early as tomorrow night!

Hmm, let me think, who would be the biggest joke to put into what has become the biggest joke competition...hmm...

    Bertie Ahern?

    Or Brendan Kilkenny?

    Has to be Pat Kenny.

    Pat Kenny and Ryan Tubirdy.

They probably wont let Podge and Rodge host it. But then again it wont be the first time a muppet has.. Ronan Keating, anyone?

I'd like to change my suggestion to Shirley Templebar co-hosting with Bosco.

    Best. Eurovision. Ever.

Seriously...even I'd watch more than just the voting bit.

Just flicked past Q&As on RTÉ1 there...and they're discussing it. I don't know if rolleyes works or what, but insert it here.

What do you mean '"If" we win it? That question suggests there's a possibility we could win it. It's not going to happen.

Remember the good old days when Ireland won it three times in a row. (92,93,94 and again in 96....Norway won t in 95 with an Irish act!)....they were getting a little fed with us constantly winning it but we deserved it.

This will bring back some memories of what the 'competition' once was before televoting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gir8VOjVcYU 1993 voting was great. I remember it. The UK going mad:D

Dustin to present it and Podge and Rodge to be our entry for it. Europe wouldn't know what to think

I seriously doubt Dustin is going to make it through the semi final tonight (making us look more then a little foolish even for such a farce 'competition'). All polls through Europe have him near the bottom - also many at the rehearsals are saying his act just does not work and has not been properly thought through. They say the staging itself (with the trolley etc) is pretty bad when translated to how big the Eurovision stage is. Prepare to be embarrased tonight......should be a laugh at least though.

I put a tenner on Ireland to win today.

    14/1 odds.

Though it was 9/1 yesterday, which isn't a good sign.

Still, I think we're in with a good chance. Think about the sort of people who are most likely to text in a vote to these sort of things. The same sort of people who made the creator of Crazy Frog rich.

Paddy power are only offering 5-4 on him not making it out of the semi-final.
I was hoping for better odds than that.

Looks like the wheels are coming of the shopping trolley!!

Ah well, it'll still be worth watching, and no where near as embarressing as Donna & Joseph!! *shudder*

Two big ploblems for Dustin and why I just cant see him getting out of the semi final tonight

    1. Viewers across Europe who bother watching the semi final and voting would be the more decerning Eurovision voters - We have to assume they would be more genuine in looking for the 'good' acts.

    2. The UK cant vote tonight.

I personally think this is a joke and make a coplete mockery of Ireland..

I am no fan in the slightest when it comes to the Eurovision so i decide not to watch it..but this Dustin thing is making Ireland look like a nation of complete tossers.

If we dont like it just dont enter the competition and let those who enjoy it do so without having to put up with this small mindedness !!
