Hi all I have been toying with th idea of buying one of these cars for the last couple years . Not sure as to specifc model as of yet I have a few questions .

    1) How hard is it to source parts and service for these cars in dublin ?

    2) Has anybody on boards owned one of these in the past ? if so can you advise on obeservations you have had on these cars in the areas of reliablity etc ?

    3) I have seen them going on ebay for between 2 -10k stg what is a resonable price for one of these cars with the idea of using the car as a second vehicle ?

    4) What should I be looking for when I am veiwing one of these motors ?

    Thanks in advance .

1.. never had a prob getting parts ...BUT not in Ireland...EBAy or best of all www.buysellcortina.co.uk

2..dead reliable...dead easy to work on,,,by no means am I a mechanic but for the last 10 years I have done all my own mechanical work with the aid of Haynes and good advice from more knowledgable friends.

3.Depends on the model....you can still get a good one thats not a show car for £2000 or less....£10000 or anywhere near it would be extortionate....have a look at the Mark three owners club forum....great club and forum

These are lovely looking cars, rust is the main problem, engine spares and the like are easily found.
