how would one replicate this form of photoshopping, or the style would be appriciated? see alot of these style shots and love them

Looks like the 300 preset for lightroom with a very heavy vignette.

aye seems so, gonna try it out myself, i'll know when i know i guess. the 300 setting seems right

I just did some multiple masks around the face on black layers, merged them together. Added a hue/saturation layer, clicked on 'colorize', brought the saturation and lightness down to around 37/45 and then chose a suitable yellow tint for the hue. Duplicated the original image and masked the eyes out, a little levels adjustment layer to help them blend in... and FIN

Presets are basically actions for lightroom, which give you a preset look to play with - The 300 look has high blacks and a sepia cast in the highlights, trying to look like the move 300.

Ok so whats a Lightroom 300 preset? I have Lightroom beta 2.0 and can't find this in the presets.
