    Windows XP
    Firefox 2.0.0.14

I'd like to block Javascript on Boards.ie (takes too long to load when I open multiple tabs) but keep it active for other websites.

I can't find an option to allow me to do this. Am I missing one?

    Thanks

download the firefox extension called Grease Monkey.

Greasemonkey is only good for redesigning sites to suit you. Also Greasemonkey is javascript so if it is disabled then greasemonkey won't run.

What you are looking for is NoScript.
    http://noscript.net/

It will disable ALL scripts and plugins by default and you just whitelist sites as you go.

Exactly what I was going to say.

    OP, look no further.

noscript sounds sorta like what I want, I'll have to have a look at it later!

Do you know offhand is it possible to reverse it? Allow all and blacklist individual ?

Yes, its possible with the Adblock Plus add-on. Had a problem myself with an advert on Boards crashing my browser, With Adblock Plus i could block adverts on Boards only and allow all other sites

You can simply un-install the extension, so yeah, it's no problem to reverse it.

The standard setting is that it allows the site you are viewing, but only for that session. It will re-ask you again the next time you visit that site in a new session. You can, of course, make the allow, or block, permanent.

We're discussing java, not flash ads.

It blocks out all Java and Flash graphics entirely
