im buying it second hand

What price is it going for?
How old is it?
what will it be used for?
what condition is it in?

I'd be thinking €450, and it's not a "very good" machine are far as spec goes. Not bad, but not fantastic, i need more to go on as far as what it's going to be used for.

I'm looking at buying a dell1525 myself, have you looked at dell outlet, they have 80euro off and free delivery at the moment. prices of the 1525 range from 365euro upwards (including vat + delivery)

to get the updated price tick the box beside:

Buy Now Save Voucher [price -EUR 80.32] -SPECIAL OFFER

http://www.dell.ie/do

650euro seems a bit too much for the specs you've listed

That's a crazy price imho
I just spec'd this up on dell.ie, a vostro 1510, brand new, better spec and for the same price,
BASE Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.1 GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista™ Business - English
SUPPORT SERVICES 1Yr Basic Warranty - Next Business Day Included -
LCD 15.4" Widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display with Anti-Glare Coating
INTEGRATED WEBCAM Glossy Black without Camera
MEMORY 2048MB (1x2048) 667MHz DDR2 Dual Channel
HARD DRIVE 250GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
GRAPHICS CARD 256 MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS (64 bit) Graphic Card
OPTICAL DRIVE Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Slot Load Drive
PRIMARY BATTERY Primary 6-cell 58 WHr Lithium Ion battery

Just to note, dell have €50 off any machine above €299. So with that €50 off that machine comes to € 664.29. Brand new, has dedicated graphics, better processor, more hard drive space.

The machines on outlet DO NOT INCLUDE VAT, and the cheapest i can see is 411(excluding VAT) for a low spec machine

but did you add to cart to get the 80 euro discount?

after you add to cart, click the box beside 'Buy Now Save Voucher [price -EUR 80.32] -SPECIAL OFFER

it then gives the reduced price.

im looking at one for 365 now including vat and delivery

• Moderators, Motoring & Transport Moderators Posts: 23,157 Mod ✭✭✭✭Alanstrainor

no i didn't, but it comes to 417.31 including VAT when you do, and the reason i can't find that one for 360 is because you have it in your cart

Would you be hoping to play games on this?
If so then, it would not handle anything recent, and you cannot upgrade the graphics. I would still offer 450. 550 would not be that great a price at all.
