    Hi folks

I saw this a while ago, but can't remember who/what/where...

Who is the transporter guy that can pick up a car from the UK and bring it to Ireland for about EUR300 ?

I checked the stickies but no mention. Think it might have been Carlosfandango that was saying...

Although I love the oul roadtrip, with the stop-over in Betws-y-Coed, EUR300 is going to save me from having to insure and tax the car I am bringing over (another MX5, to be honest)

    Cheers

    Frank

Methinks the info you want might be in this thread.

Shame to miss out on a roadtrip alright.

    roadtrip indeed.

Did it last w/end. Drove to Dublin, ferry to HH, drove to Leeds, train to Manchester, flight to Galway.

Left here Sun 11:00, home 14:00 Monday. Cool:cool:

Doing it again next week :)

Ferry getting expensive, though.........170 one way. Liverpool-Dublin is great if you get a deal - I went over/back in March 130 each way. That gets you sailing, dinner, cabin and brekkie. Trip is 7 hours, but I sleep rather than arriving in the orifice of nowhere in UK at 3 am and trying to sleep in the car waiting for some place to open.........

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Oy - you can't come on here saying things like that without describing what you're bringing over. Spill !

Nice one, well done! It must be very rare for an Irish reg car to be exported to the UK

So that leaves you with another half-engined Porsche (this one an automatic) ;)

What's the current plan? Sell it and buy a 996? Tiptronic? I sure wouldn't mind one of them :D
