Simple question for you experts as researching and googleing info on the amount of different DDR2 ram modules out there has only served to overload my little brain
This is my mobo; BFG NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI
    http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgrinf680is.aspx

What is the best DDR2 2x2GB ram I can put into it, money no object.

    No watercooling setups please
and I'm not really interested in any of those ridiculous looking ones with the oversized heatsink which blocks two of my slots.

    Cheers

Pretty cheap for top of the line stuff, is there much difference between PC2 8500 and the higher ones on memoryc.com like PC2 9600 & PC2 10400
These higher ones only come in 2x1gb pairs for some reason, might wait for them to come out in 2x2gb (if thats ever goin to happen)

Honestly, You'd not notice any difference between these PC10400 and PC6400. How high do you expect to overclock? Are goin u using some extreme cooling for a 5Ghz bench? Unless your pushing beyond 4Ghz they're not worth it. They only come into play when pushing your fsb above 533mhz, thats not gonna happen is it?

800mhz ram is perfect for what you need.....just to make sure you need a 64bit OS to make use of 8 gigs of ram....32bit operating systems max out at 4gb.....theres also some really expensive 16gb kits coming out in a bit.....4gb per stick but will cost you about €1000 for 4 of em!

HaHa 16Gb? €1000? Not for me, thanks
I've got vista 64bit so no worries there
