I got my exam timetable mixed up and just missed one of my exams! Luckily my university are very accommodating and said it's ok, I can either just write an essay to make up for it or take the exam some other time. Anyone else done anything silly lately?

well they had changed the date of this exam 3 times, and there were 3 ethics exams in total, applied ethics, relationship ethics and political ethics, all on different dates so it got a bit confusing. I thought applied ethics was on the 21st but apparently it was this morning. It was relationship ethics thats on the 21st, and I don't take that subject.

    Careful now Anto-T.

When posing a question you should always include the question mark ?

Anto-ts sillyness should put the OP at ease anyway.

I missed out a 3rd of my maths paper on the DCU business course back in first year. All the practice papers were only 2 pages long and I didnt even check for a 3rd! I still managed to pass though so I can laugh about it now. :D

During the Leaving Cert, my brother managed to get his exam time table wrong for Honours Maths. He got in an hour late, had to beg the supervisors to let him get in, which eventually they did, and he still managed to get an A1.

He has a PHD now. Strange to think that had the supervisors been very strict, he might not have gotten it at all.

I'd say that poor girl is gone off to dedicate her life to God after dodging that tbh ;)

I find that studying philosophy combined with being at this free & easy university = total laxity and nothing to worry about, no matter what you do. I like it here!

I actually got my timetable wrong for my GCSEs too, and missed my maths one. I never bothered retaking it and it's never done me any harm.

Ah but he wanted to do Theoretical Physics in Trinity which needed Honours Maths, so had he missed it and failed, he would have had to repeat it again.

Amazing to think that since then, and because of that, he moved to San Diego, had a fantastic life there, met his current wife, and now is moving to New York.

/grumbles If I had studied in my Leaving, I might have had a better life too..

Wait. You missed an exam today and an exam in your GCSE. Did you miss one in your A-Levels too?

I actually dropped out of my A-levels. I only handed in one piece of coursework and never did any of the exams. Still managed to get an E though, which was pretty good. Never did me any harm, I just went to uni as a mature student and didn't need a-levels or GCSEs! :pac:

    Maybe.

    Right, so here's the plan.

1: We get your face slightly altered to look like your brother
2: Fly over to the states
3: You kill him, we'll hack him up and feed him to the crocs in Florida
4: You arrive back from a "business" trip and replace your brother in what sounds like his awesome life
5: We take out an insurance policy for millions on his( now your ) wife, give it a year and then kill her
    6: Split the profit

I know you're not being serious but don't use a term of abuse like "twat". Thanks.

I was half an hour late for an exam before and wasn't allowed in, I had to repeat. It's one thing having to repeat in the summer because you failed but having to repeat because you woke up half an hour late.. :( I was kicking myself.

Where the hell do you go to college cos it ain't the same place as me.

If you fail Maths or English and Irish, you don't get a leaving cert.
